Few thoughts from living in Paradise. We are inundated with happy people from US, Canada and misc other destinations around the world. Is it: The weather, beaches, the low cost of living, excellent medical care at a fraction of the cost, friendly people, that its so safe, easy destination to get to, great culture, food, family values or simply the magical combination of the jungles, huge bay, tall mountains, world class golf courses, endless stretch of beaches that line Vallarta? Or the sense of freedom and the great quality of life one feels when we land here? Many great reasons, many great options, Call or stop in and talk to the folks that can give you insight. Why are so many leaving the north, some on a part time and some on full time basis. We all have our reasons, but who has not had the dream to live in tropical paradise. As we grow up our parents said No & no you cant, Then our teachers told us No & no you cant. Then our employer... we have been brainwashed into believing we can not, The dreams were squashed... living the life of our dreams, experiencing the things our minds created. We were simple told and trained and are supposed to fall into "the Norm/the average" follow the herd don't stand out. Just do what everyone else does: Monday Go to work go home, Tuesday Go to work go home, Wednesday Go to work go home Thursday Go to work go home Friday Go to work go home Some even have to do this on Saturday..... Tired yet? (i got tired writing it) Now do that Day in day out for 45+ years! Then not still not much money left after putting the kids thru school, buying house, remodeling house, trading in the cars every few years, riding the economic highs and lows taking hits on interest rates and trapped in the leases mortgages and credit card payments. On bump in the road with mortgages credit lines car payments credit card payments and more. Then you can retire on half or a third of what you couldn't live on before! A social security check and retirement check so you can finally enjoy all the fruits of your labor.... Or you can cut loose, get out of the rut, Rut is a grave with both ends kicked out! Lower you cost of living eliminates the stress, eating healthy fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and fresh bakes bread. The fabulous weather that is great for year around sports, walking, running, tennis, golf, fishing and those long walks on the beach rekindling the spark with that special loved one. The humidity and the warmth is great for the achy bones and joints. Its like the oil can for the Tin man. Money does not make one happy, life experiences do.... Just take a moment, think about a time far in the future. On your death bed would you say? I wish i would have made more money to put in the bank for the last 10 years of my life in and out of doctors offices and retirement homes. OR I am glad we had the last 30 years living the great life, we spent time together watching the sunset, have our favorite cold beverage, getting serenaded by the little Mexican man playing his guitar, taking the time to smell the ocean breeze and leaving footprints in the sand. Well just a few reasons, I know why I am here!
